Pacific Northwest District Kiwanis Foundation

Recognition

The strength and stability of any great organization is because we recognize the caring and supporting members. The PNW Kiwanis Foundation offers a number of ways to honor clubs, Kiwanians, and community members. The funds raised are used to fund the scholarship and grant program. Giving is a personal matter – each according to their ability. No gift is to small or too large. The pride in participation in a lasting legacy for children and youth is what is important. What a great feeling when you have the opportunity to honor a Kiwanian, a friend, or community person who has donated their time through work and support of their community and youth. Please consider honoring someone with one of the following awards:

Distinguished Service Award (DSA) $100 min.

A most fitting way to honor one of your own or a community member for outstanding service to Kiwanis or the community is to make a contribution of $100 or more that will help support children and youth in the Pacific Northwest through the work of this Foundation. The Distinguished Service Award is a rare honor, so ideally the presentation of the DSA should be made at a Lt. Governor’s official visit to your Kiwanis club where they can make it special and personal to the recipient. See Service Awards

Fellowship Program (FP): Joan B. “Rusty” Clutts Fellowship, $1,000 min. and J. N. Emerson Diamond Fellowship, $2,000 min.

Fellowships appropriately honor individuals who have dedicated themselves to the principle of service to others. A Kiwanian will often secure his or her own fellowship, but sometimes clubs will make a contribution to our Foundation to honor a member such as a Club President or Member of the Year. Many distinguished Kiwanis members in our PNW District have become Foundation Fellows. Fellowships are recognized with a medallion on a lanyard, as well as a lapel pin often awarded at a DCON reception or special club event.  See Fellowships

Memorial Gift Plaque (MGP): $100 min.

It is fitting that a Kiwanian’s passing be recognized through a donation to an organization such as our Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation. Just as the member supported Kiwanis, the Foundation will use your donations to continue to support Kiwanis sponsored and Kiwanis-linked programs for children. Pass the torch to this Foundation and the light will continue to shine. The Foundation will provide a plaque to the member’s family or to a place of honor for mounting. See Memorials

Outstanding Community Partner (OCP): $100 min.

Recognize a business or organization that has strong ties or support to your Kiwanis Club or Club Foundation with an Outstanding Community Partner contribution in their name. Relationships are valued and can be honored in this way to both help continue the partnership and help achieve our Foundation’s mission.
